While Marvel hasn't officially named sides in Captain America: Civil War, actor Jeremy Renner confirmed that he's siding with Captain America.

During Wizard World Comic Con Chicago, when asked what he felt about siding with the First Avenger (possibly a trick question on the part of audience member Callum Bowers to get him to confirm it), he said it seemed logical.

"I don't know; they wrote me in that side," he said. "It made sense to me."

He then joked that "Maybe I switched sides!"

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
