Rogen is developing the adaptation of Garth Ennis' Vertigo Comics series with writing partner Evan Goldberg. The series has found a home alongside The Walking Dead and Better Call Saul at AMC.

Preacher follows the journey of a small town Texas preacher named Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) who becomes possessed by a heavenly creature with power to rival God Himself, who has left Heaven and Earth unattended. As such, Custer designs to hunt down the Almighty and hold him responsible for…well, everything. Joining Custer on his quest is his gun-toting ex-girlfriend, Tulip O'Hare (Ruth Negga), and his Irish vampire best friend, Cassidy (Joe Gilgun).
