Power Rangers Movie To Begin Filming In January

The new Power Rangers movie will commence filming this winter in Vancouver, according to Directors Guild of Canada-BC Production List (via yvrshoots).

The film is scheduled to begin filming January 18th and wrap April 12th. Its working title is "Shirt."

The film is being directed by Dean Israelite (Project Almanac), based on a screenplay written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (X:Men: First Class, Fringe).

Rumor has it, the new movie will feature original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers characters (completely re-envisioned) — Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy and Trini — battling the evil sorceress Rita Repulsa and her loyal minions.

Power Rangers is scheduled for release on January 13, 2017.
