The rumor mill surrounding Thor: Ragnarok has begun spinning, and the latest report suggests the film may introduce a new heroine to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Birth.Death.Movies brings the latest news on the film, after speaking to “sources deep inside Disney.” The report echoes the previous report that the Hulk will be playing a significant role in the third Thor movie, and adds that the two Avengers will be embarking on a “cosmic road trip.”
Along the way, they’ll encounter staple of Thor’s Asgardian mythology that has yet to appear in the MCU, the Valkyries. The Valkyries are tasked with bringing the valiant dead back to Valhalla, so it makes sense that they’d have a significant role to play as Asgard faces Ragnarok.
But BDM’s sources say Marvel isn’t stopping with just Valkyries in general. The film may also introduce the Valkyrie, a.k.a. Brunnhilde, a member of the Avengers and the Defenders, alongside Doctor Strange and the Hulk.
