The Monty Python and the Holy Grail 40th Anniversary blu-ray is just a couple of weeks away, hitting stores October 27, 2015. But fans who are longing for the sweet caress of Monty Python on their eyeballs and ears can enjoy fourteen minutes of never-before-seen footage of animations created for the film.

The animations are narrated by Terry Gilliam, who worked on the animations. There's even some Neil Innes music that was cut from the film, as well.

It's all quite funny, if Monty Python is your bag. "If we'd kept this in the film, it surely would've been a great success. We wouldn't need to release a blu-ray," Gilliam jokes about Innes's music. "Neil has saved so many Python moments over the year."

Take a look behind-the-scenes of Python animations online now (if only to hear Gilliam say "They're dumb, stupid pieces of meat" about snails), and watch it again on the blu-ray as one of the new special features on October 27.
