UPDATE: Mariah Carey To Voice The Mayor In Lego Batman Movie

Mariah Carey is up for the role of Commissioner Gordon in The LEGO Batman Movie, according to Deadline.

Carey joins a voice cast that includes Ralph Fiennes (Alfred the Butler), Will Arnett (Batman), Michael Cera (Robin), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl) and Zach Galifianakis (The Joker).

It's unclear if Carey's singing talents will come into play as part of the role.

UPDATE: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carey will actually be voicing the Mayor. Our question about a song and dance number still stands. Given what we saw in the first LEGO movie, our hopes are high.
