If you’re wondering how to get to Sesame Street, as of January 16, 2016, the answer is via HBO. The new 30-minute format for season 46 launches on the pay cable network that day, alongside classic episode availability, new characters, and more.

The first trailer for HBO’s Sesame Street shows off the new look to the show, released just before Christmas.
A new image shows off Elmo, the Count, Big Bird, Grover, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby with the HBO letters (and a fun Sesame Street pun). The series will be available, including new and classic episodes, for streaming on HBO’s digital apps and the new dedicated HBOkids.com.
“On SATURDAY, JAN. 16, 2016, SESAME STREET will launch season 46 of the award-winning show on HBO with the boldest changes to the STREET to date, including 30-minute episodes, new preschool-relevant themes, new show opening and closing songs, an updated set, a new segment called “Smart Cookies” and a new cast member, Nina,” HBO said in a press release. The new opening song is mildly disconcerting for fans who have grown up with the classic, but hopefully it’ll just be a new spin on the old favorite.
