The Friends cast will be reuniting on their home network next month during a two-hour special which pays tribute to James Burrows, the veteran sitcom director who just reached his 1,000th episode on television. 15 of his credits are from Friends.

The telecast, which is being compared to the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special, will also reunite the casts of Taxi, Cheers, Frasier, and Will & Grace - all shows which Burrows has worked on. Stars of Burrows' recent work will also appear, including those from The Big Bang Theory and Mike & Molly.

The entire Friends cast of Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry will be present for the mega-reunion.

To be clear - this is not a new episode of Friends. It is the cast getting together, likely to reflect on the series and their time working with the iconic TV director, but not act out any new scenes.

The special show is set shoot later this month and will air on February 21 at 9 PM ET on NBC.
