A fan event for Deadpool promised some "first look footage" - they just didn't tell people it would be two hours of it.

The entire movie was shown at the special fan events on both coasts, in New York and Los Angeles. At the New York screening, Ryan Reynolds showed up to introduce the movie.

At the Los Angeles screening, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld, Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, TJ Miller (Weasel), director Tim Miller, screenwriters Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick, and Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) were in attendance.

Fans who showed up expecting a preview and maybe an actor were shocked at the surprise but excited to see the whole thing.

Deadpool hits theaters for real on February 12, 2016.
