While Jon Snow seemed to fall in the Season 5 finale of Game of Thrones, many reports place actor Kit Harrington on set for the show’s upcoming sixth season.

The hosts of BBC Breakfast sat down with Harrington to discuss his upcoming stage role as Doctor Faustus, but couldn’t pass on the opportunity to question the star about these reports. Harrington responded with a well-trained straight face.
KIT: All I can tell you is Jon Snow is dead. He died at the end of the last season. BILL: But his spirit lives on?KIT: Who knows? You’ll have to wait and see. It’s going to be a very excited season so I’m led to believe.For the last five years he’s made his name playing the brooding hero Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. “All I can tell you is Jon Snow is dead,” Harringon said. “He died at the end of the last season.”
But does his spirit live on?
“Who knows? You’ll have to wait and see. It’s going to be a very excited season so I’m led to believe.”
So Harrington seems to be confirming that Jon did indeed die at the end of Season 5, but could he return from death? Harrington’s comments, taken in tandem with co-star Maisie William’s tease, seem to suggest that Jon will make his way back to the land of the living, but not without a cost.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 24.
