Hellboy 3 Will Probably Never Happen According To Ron Perlman

It's been nearly eight years since Hellboy II: The Golden Army was released, and with each passing year hope for Hellboy III gets dimmer and dimmer. It might be time for fans to face the cold, hard truth that the third and final film in the proposed trilogy will never happen.

While promoting Season 2 of Amazon Prime's Hand of God, Ron Perlman—the actor that portrayed the red-skinned anti-superhero in director Guillermo del Toro's films—told Variety, Hellboy III "probably will never happen, though you never say never never."

Perlman isn't quite ready to concede defeat, but unless del Toro is willing to back off from a proposed budget north of $100 million, I just don't see Hellboy III getting a greenlight.
