Goosebumps director Rob Letterman will direct the Dungeons & Dragons movie for Warner Bros., according to reports.

Prior to 2015’s Goosebumps, Letterman also directed Monsters vs. Aliens and Shark Tale.

The new Dungeons & Dragons movie is being produced by Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment, with Stephen Davis and Brian Goldner of Hasbro and Courtney Solomon of Sweetpea Entertainment. John Middleton will executive produce for Vertigo, with Allan Zeman will executive produce for Sweetpea. Cate Adams and Drew Crevello will oversee for Warner Bros., as will Coral Wright and Josh Feldman for Hasbro.

Solomon was the director of the 2000 Dungeons & Dragons movie from New Line, which starred Justin Whalin, Marlon Wayans, and Thora Birch.

Lee has said that the Dungeons & Dragons movie will be like Guardians of the Galaxy meets Lord of the Rings.

There have been no casting announcements as of yet, but rumors suggest the producers are looking for a Vin Diesel-type to play the lead. Diesel himself has played Dungeons & Dragons for years, so maybe they should just give him a call.
