J.K. Rowling’s screenplay for Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them will be published digitally via Pottermore and in print by Little Brown in the UK and Scholastic in North America.
The published screenplay will go on sale Nov. 19, the day after Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in theaters. The film is Rowling’s first screenplay, inspired by the in-universe text Rowling created as part of the Hogwarts library in her Harry Potter series.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them follows the text’s author, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a magizoologist in the 1920s who travels to New York City while researching the book.
Rowling is also collaborating on the script for the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the official eighth story in the Harry Potter saga. A Special Rehearsal Edition of the script book for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II will be published in the summer of 2016.
