The merry-go-round that is Daniel Craig's relationship with the James Bond franchise is spinning yet again.

The actor has gone on record on numerous occasions during and after the release of his latest (and possibly final) Bond film Spectre, about how his time with the character is done. A perfect example of this was a comment he made to Timeout London in response to a question about him wanting to do another film in the franchise. He said: "Now? I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on."

He continued: "I haven't given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don't want to think about it. I don't know what the next step is. I've no idea. Not because I'm trying to be cagey. Who the f*** knows? At the moment, we've done it. I'm not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money."

While he has certainly given the impression that he no longer wants the role, even going so far as to turn down a reported $100 million dollar offer from the studio for two more films, the latest information says that isn't necessarily true. According to BBC.com, independent sources have said he did not turn that deal down, and he hasn't made a final decision about the role. Evidently a decision is not likely to be made for awhile either. While there is time before the next film starts shooting, it would probably behoove him and the studio to figure out their next step sooner rather than later.
