Hackers Claim Credit For Taking Down Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO's servers have been offline throughout the start of the weekend, but it might not be all Niantic's fault.

Evidently a hacker group known as PoodleCorp is taking credit for bringing down Pokemon GO's servers with a DDOS attack, an unfortunate regular occurrence these days. PoodleCorp posted a tweet to their account that hinted they're responsible.

"Just was a lil test, we will do something on a larger scale soon" (via Independent.co.uk).

This isn't the fist time the group's made the news, as they've previously targeted Youtube creators like H3H3 Productions and Pewdiepie. As of right now, they are just claiming credit, and we're still not sure if they caused the issues or if it was just another server overload, which has happened multiple times since the game's release.

Either way, people aren't happy about it, nor should they be. Many fans have taken to social media to voice their frustrations.
