Pokemon Go Gets Moved To Hall H At Comic-Con

Even with intermittent server issues, Niantic's Pokemon GO is still going strong and has become a bit of a phenomenon in many ways.

Being as popular as it is, it makes sense that Pokemon GO would have some sort of presence at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, which as of yesterday was taking place in Room 25ABC. That's all well and good, except for one problem. The room only had space for about 480 people (via SDCC Blog).

I'm pretty sure there are 480 people playing the game within 10 minutes of my house, and that doesn't even compare to the countless fans embarking on the annual pilgrimage that is Comic-Con. Granted, this was scheduled the day after launch, but it was still pretty small to begin with.

Recognizing that this was just not going to work, organizers at Comic-Con International have changed the venue for the panel, moving it to Hall H. The panel will now take place on Sunday at 1:45 pm.

As for the panel itself, the topic will be to "examine the past, present and future of extending games beyond the screen and re-imagining reality through the lens of Ingress and Pokémon GO". If that type of thing sounds interesting to you, you'll want to adjust your schedule accordingly. While Niantic hasn't commented on any special perks for attending the panel, it would be pretty sweet if they brought some in-game goodies for the audience.
