Earlier today, fans got a new look at Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise, the supernatural shape-shifting monstrosity from Stephen King's IT. If you're interested in seeing the horrifying image, you can bravely view it courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. But, if you're more interested in seeing a much tamer teaser image from the remake, then look no further. Director Andy Muschietti decided to upload a first-look photo of Richard "Richie" Tozier from IT.

Taking to Instagram, Andy shared a photo of Missing Persons poster which features Richie. The image lists all of the character's physical and personal information, indicating he was wearing a 'Freese's' t-shirt when last seen on July 4th. The mock poster definitely lends itself to the '80s aesthetic IT seems to be going for. Since the remake will be set in 1989 rather than the original story's 1950s shtick, fans expect the major cultural shift to effect various elements of IT's silver-screen remake.

One such shift can be seen somewhat in Richie's updated attire. The character has always been known for his coke-bottle glasses, but Richie's plastic frames seem to be even bigger now. Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) will play the Losers' Club member, inheriting the role from Seth Green. Green's previous portrayal of the rambunctious, foul-mouthed jokester made Richie one of IT's most well-known characters alongside Bill Denbrough, the leader of the Losers' Club.

So far, fans have been told the IT remake will stick closely to King's original horror novel. The new version will follow the events which occur after Bill Denbrough's little brother is murdered. Determined to discover the culprit, Bill and his friends eventually wind up confronting Pennywise, a homicidal demon who shape-shifts according to its victim's worse fears. Should the remake go over well, fans could see a remake of IT's sequel which features the Losers' Club going against Pennywise once more as adults after the entity returns to their hometown.

Currently, IT is still in production as shooting will continue on into September. The movie is slated to start scaring moviegoers in theaters next year by September 8th 2017.
