In the Saved by the Bell episode "Jessie's Song," which is the ninth episode of Season 2 and originally aired in November 1990, Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley), the smartest member (though, Screech was the true class valedictorian) of the Bayside crew, is having a hard time keeping up with her studies and Hot Sundae, her new singing group. So, she turns to caffeine pills and becomes addicted to them. When Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) confronts Jessie about her addiction, Jessie reaches for her bottle of pills so she can sing that night, but Zack knocks the pills away and tells her she can't sing. Jessie disagrees and manically sings, "I'm so excited! I'm so excited! I'm so, I'm so... scared!"

The scene, based on the odd dialogue and Berkley's over-dramatic performance, is considered one of most unintentionally funny scenes in the whole series, and now, according to TV Line, Fox's Family Guy is recreating the scene with Gosselaar.

"It's a very famous scene where Stewie is in the Elizabeth Berkley role," executive producer Richard Appel told TV Line. "It was one of those times when we were like, 'Do you think Mark-Paul Gosselaar would play [Zack]? Let's try.' And he did it quite enthusiastically." EP Steve Callaghan added, "It was great, he was hilarious."

The show follows the adventures of lovable oaf PETER GRIFFIN (Seth MacFarlane) and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders. LOIS (Alex Borstein) is Peter's loving wife, a former Miss Teen Rhode Island who rules the roost but is one step away from a nervous breakdown. Then there are their kids: frumpy, 16-year-old MEG (Mila Kunis), the family's punching bag; 13-year-old CHRIS (Seth Green), a kid who can't make sense of the opposite sex, much less the evil monkey hiding in his closet; and 1-year-old STEWIE (MacFarlane), a diabolically clever baby whose heterosexuality is hanging by a thread. Rounding out the Griffin household is BRIAN (MacFarlane), the family dog, a member of Mensa with a penchant for dry martinis and dumb blondes.

Family Guy is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Seth MacFarlane is creator/executive producer. Rich Appel and Steve Callaghan serve as executive producers/showrunners, while Danny Smith and Kara Vallow are executive producers.

The Season 15 premiere of Family Guy will air Sunday, September 25 at 9/8c on FOX.
