Fans of Titan Comic’s Assassin’s Creed series will soon have a new series added to their pull lists early next year, but they won’t have to buy an additional book.

That’s because Titan is combining both their Assassin’s and Templars series into one ongoing series, simply titled Assassin’s Creed. The new series will be written by Dan Watters (Limbo) and Alex Paknadel (Arcadia), and will the artistic talents of Jose Holder (Deceivers).

Fans of Assassin’s Creed Unity, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be excited to learn that the new ongoing series will pick up the Phoenix Project plot from those games, which revolved around the templars getting ahold of ancient DNA. The book will also bring in fan favorites from all over the Assassin’s Creed universe, including Juhani Otso Berg, Galina Voronina, Kiyoshi Takakura, Arend Schut, Charlotte De La Cruz, and Black Cross.

Assassin’s Creed #1 will launch with several variants from artist Alex Ronald (Cover A), Sunsetagain (Cover B), Jimbo Salgado (Cover C), Jose Holder (Cover D), Cover E (Doubleleaf), which you can find in the gallery.

Fans of the franchise have a lot to celebrate this year, as the popular franchise is finally making it’s leap of faith to the big screen. Assassin’s Creed is being directed by Justin Kurzel, and stars Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. Hopes are high that this will be the film to break through the ceiling when it comes to video game adaptations.

Assassin’s Creed #1 will land in comic shops in February of 2017.
