Earlier today we got a first look at the new Power Rangers movie with the release of the first trailer, and it looks amazing.

So far, we have learned that the infamous Goldar, otherwise known as Rita Repulsa's right hand man or golden freak with wings, has been officially confirmed to appear in the Power Rangers movie.
Director Dean Israelite casually mentioned that we would be seeing Goldar in upcoming trailers and teasers for the movie.
However, this adds another villainous threat to the upcoming Power Rangers movie that has already challenged Megazord quite a few times in the original television series.
Goldar, as pictured above with Scorpina, is a minion of Rita Repulsa's. He's a lion-faced, griffin-themed knight who is the second-in-command for both Rita and Lord Zedd.
He was often seen fighting alongside of Scorpina, and has had many run-ins with the White Ranger. Goldar is known for retreating just in time to survive a finishing move, but eventually is killed by Megazord.
Even though he is beneath Rita, he often bossed her around, eventually leaving her side to pledge allegience to Lord Zedd. He even has a Zord of his own named Cyclopsis, an ancient war machine.
Goldar leads Rita Repula's first invasion of Earth, which is where he might tie into the Power Rangers Movie. Looks like these angsty teens have a lot more than just Rita to worry about.
Power Rangers will release on March 24, 2017.
