To celebrate Halloween, Netflix has released a new Stranger Things viral video: "Minute By Minute with Brenda Wood." It's an archival newsreel from 5 WIYZ Hawkins, featuring news anchor Brenda Wood discussing the disappearance of Barbara "Barb" Holland (Shannon Purser) and Eleven (Millie Brown) stealing Eggos and causing destruction at Bradley's Big Buy supermarket.

In the show, Barb reluctantly went to Steve's party with her best friend, Nancy. She accidentally cut herself and did her best to bandage the wound. When she wanted to go home, Nancy declined so that she could be intimate with Steve. Like a good friend, Barb waited outside, by the pool, for Nancy to come back down, so they could leave together. However, the blood from Barb's wound attracted the monstrous creature from the Upside-Down, and it attacked Barb. We later learned that Barb was killed when Eleven saw her rotting corpse.

A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80's, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.

The first season of Stranger Things starred Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine. The second season will feature Sadie Sink as Max, a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era, and Power Rangers star Dacre Montgomery as Billy, Max's hyper-confident, and edgy older step-brother.

Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines, Hidden) serve as writer, directors and co-showrunners of the series, and are executive producers along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen via their 21 Laps entertainment banner (The Spectacular Now, Night At The Museum, Real Steel, Date Night). Shawn Levy also serves as director.

Season 2 of Netflix's original series Stranger Things will debut in 2017 and consist of 9 episodes.
