The Walking Dead: Watch The Talked About Scene From The Cell

WARNING: Major Spoilers ahead for the latest episode of The Walking Dead.

This week's episode of The Walking Dead was another brutal one. Well, it was if you're a big fan of Daryl.

While no big characters died in this episode, we watched as Daryl was tortured by Negan, Dwight, and The Saviors. He was force-fed dog food, beaten to a pulp, and made to listen to Easy Street on repeat. Dwight even gave him the Pavlov treatment--making him salivate at the thought of his dog food sandwich coming up.

Daryl got wrecked this week, let's be honest.

The episode also served as a bigger introduction to Negan's world. We got our first in-depth look at The Sanctuary, where Negan calls home. We also learned that Negan has been equally as cruel to Dwight, which explains why he seems like such a villain. You'd be mad too if Negan stole your wife and burned half your face.

The scene where Negan recounts this story has become the talked about scene of the week.

In an attempt to break Daryl, Negan fills him in on Dwight's backstory. By telling Daryl how Dwight got to where he was, it should have made him realize that following Negan was the only way to survive.

After weeks of torture, Daryl surprised everyone, Negan included, by standing tall and remaining defiant. When Negan asked Daryl his name, he didn't waiver.

"Daryl," was all he replied.

After this scene, Daryl explained to Dwight that he has to keep standing up to Negan. Dwight may have been trying to protect someone by bending to Negan's will, but Daryl has no one left to break for.

Daryl will stay defiant until the day he dies.
