Ever since it debuted, The Nightmare Before Christmas has stood as a classic stop-motion animated romp. Tim Burton's visionary mind guided the winsome film into fame as both fans and critics fells for the quirky film. After more than 20 years, the movie stands as a pop culture pillar, and its cult status continues to invite new viewers to watch its spooky tale. And, now, Disney has given The Nightmare Before Christmas a 21st century makeover.

How so? Well, with emojis, of course.

Disney uploaded a new video to its Youtube titled "The Nightmare Before Christmas As Told By Emoji." The three minute long video sees familiar characters like Jack Skellington, Sally, Doctor Finklestein, and the Mayor of Halloween Town act out the film's events. The clever video is a must-watch for any fans of the film.

"This is Halloween ... As Told By Emoji! Watch emoji-fied versions of Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and more of your favorite spooky characters as they retell Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas like you've never seen before," the video gushes. And, to be honest, it does exactly as it says.

If you want to check out the film's synopsis, then you can read it below:

"Despite having recently presided over a very successful Halloween, Jack Skellington, aka the Pumpkin King, is bored with his job and feels that life in Halloweenland lacks meaning. Then he stumbles upon Christmastown and promptly decides to make the Yuletide his own."
