Spoilers for issue #10 from here on out, so you’ve been warned.
In Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corp #10, Kyle Rayner is summoned by Guardians Ganthet and Sayd after the appearance of Hal Jordan’s ring. The ring was made of Jordan’s pure will, so it’s actually connected to his life essence. Sensing that he isn’t completely gone, the Guardians ask Rayner, who is now the White Lantern, to help them bring him back to the land of the living.
Jordan is actually in the Emerald Space with Abin Sur, who tells Jordan that it isn’t yet his time. While he acknowledges that Jordan has other things to accomplish, he does take the opportunity to reunite him with several deceased Lanterns who are also in the Emerald Space, including Tomar-Re, Katma Tui, and Ke’Hann.
As they are talking Rayner and the remaining Guardians are attempting to pull Jordan out of the Emerald Space. Rayner isn’t sure he can do it, but Ganthet offers some encouragement, reminding him that “You are the White Lantern. The Torchbearer. Only you are able!”
The opening they’ve created implodes, and as the dust settles, Hal Jordan stands in front of them, apparently again among the living.
