John Wick: Chapter 2 Trailer 2 Released Online

John Wick came out of virtually nowhere and claimed action movie glory with some stunning fight choreography, as well as one of the best character performances of Keanu Reeves' career.

John Wick: Chapter 2 now has the added challenge of being a sequel to an established brand, with all the weight of fan expectations on its back. However, as you can now see in the John Wick 2 trailer, meeting expectations isn't going to be a problem.

What we get is just what you'd expect: a build on the John Wick: Chapter 2 teaser trailer's tease of our legendary badass hero's return, and some new action bits. This second trailer reveals a little bit more of the storyline, and who new franchise faces like Common, Ruby Rose, and Laurence Fishburne are playing. Most of all, we get a better sell of the obligatory 'bigger, better' action sequence moments; one hopes, we didn't see all of the best stuff.

All in all, it seems as though director Chad Stahelski is doing just fine on his own, without John Wick co-director (and fellow stuntman) David Leitch. The pair has certainly been busy since their breakout success with the first film: Leitch is currently busy prepping for Deadpool 2, while Stahelski will be moving on to a Highlander remake.

At this rate, one or both will need to add John Wick 3 to his slate; action fans are likely to eat this one up and demand another helping.

The cast features Keanu Reeves, John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Common, Peter Stormare, and Riccardo Scamarcio.
