The newest Power Rangers trailer had first looks at Goldar, the Zords, and even Megazord, but it also gave fans a substantial close-up of Rita Repulsa's preferred minions the Putties.
These aren't the putties you remember from the original series either. The designs are much more intimidating than previous versions, with large chunks of rock jutting out all over. They also appeared to be much more powerful than previous putties, though they still rely on numbers to gain the advantage.
The best close-up is in the Power Rangers new headquarters, where Zordon summons a Putty hologram for the Rangers to interact with. Zack learns the hard way that holograms might not be real, but they sure hit like they are. There's also an overview shot of a large battle involving the Rangers and an army of Putties, and Rita is seen creating them from scratch in the trailer as well.

"Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late."
Power Rangers stars Bryan Cranston (Zordon), Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa), Naomi Scott (Kimberly/Pink Ranger), David Denman (Sam Scott), Becky G. (Trini/Yellow Ranger), Sarah Grey (Amanda), RJ Cyler (Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger), Emily Maddison (Rebecca), Ludi Lin (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger), and Dacre Montgomery (Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger).
Power Rangers is set to land in theaters on March 24, 2017.
