A new clip for Beauty and the Beast shows off Josh Gad’s pipes as he performs as LeFou, singing about Luke Evans’ Gaston in the song of that same name. The performance is much like that in the animated film, but with a couple of small tweaks. When Evanskicks in with his own line, it’s easy to see why he was cast as the brutish villain.
The clip comes after the Shanghai premiere for the film, where cast and crew took photos at the newly-opened Shanghai Disneyland and signed autographs and took selfies with fans. With less than a month until its release, Disney is flying high on premieres, promotion, and a big win for their last live-action fairytale, as The Jungle Book won the Academy Award for best visual effects just last night. Beauty and the Beast is surprisingly rated at only a 3.58/5 on the ComicBook.com Anticipation Rankings currently, but fans of the original are clearly showing up in droves worldwide as its release approaches.
