If you are a fan of Stranger Things, then you Halloween will feature a different kind of trick-or-treat. This fall, Netflix is set to debut the second season of Stranger Things after the eclectic series rose to pop culture fame. Earlier this year, fans got their first look at the much-awaited comeback after the Super Bowl debuted a nostalgic trailer for Stranger Things‘ next season. And, now, Netflix is letting fans know the show’s Halloween return will be one worth waiting for.

Speaking to NME, Ted Sarandos explained he was already able to watch the premiere of Stranger Things’ new season with co-founder Reed Hastings. The chief content officer said they had both watched the premiere, and Sarandos was more than pleased with it.
“I have just seen the first episode of season two. It’s fantastic โ it delivers on everything that every fan wants,” he said.
“We have a sense that it’s going to be really big,” Sarandos continued, referring to the new season. “The reaction and momentum in Netflix internally is building.”
Of course, the new season will pit the show’s characters against even greater stakes. The entire city of Hawkins will be put in danger as the core cast deals with Will’s return from Upside Down. And, of course, there is still a portal to the dangerous dimension open at the Department of Energy. Someone may want to shut that sooner rather than later.
Stranger Things was created by the Duffer Brothers. Stranger Things is written and directed by Matt and Ross Duffer and executive-produced by Shawn Levy. Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, and Noah Schnapp as Will Byers.
Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines, Hidden) serve as writer, directors and co-showrunners of the series, and are executive producers along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen via their 21 Laps entertainment banner (The Spectacular Now, Night At The Museum, Real Steel, Date Night). Shawn Levy also serves as director.
