Dark Horse Comics and Prestige Imports LLC has selected XXX Distillery LLC's two locations to produce Hellboy Hell Water Cinnamon Whiskey.
"We selected these craft distillers based on product quality, production capability and great tasting cinnamon whiskey after an exhausted search of distilleries from around the United States." said Tom Cleaver, Prestige Imports LLC founder, in a statement.
Hellboy, the long-running, creator-owned comic from Mike Mignola, has already had both a wine (of course it's a red!) and a beer brewed in his honor.
XXX Distillery LLC's two locations in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge will craft produce, bottle and ship product to distributors across America. Hellboy Hell Water Cinnamon Whiskey is based on the best-selling comic book character Hellboy created by Mike Mignola. Hell Water is craft distilled, small batch, naturally-flavored cinnamon whiskey.
In the Dark Horse Comics, American soldiers discovered Hellboy on December 23, 1944 after a Nazi experiment brought him to our world. Hellboy is the primary agent for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) a fictional organization charged with protecting America from the occult, paranormal & supernatural.
Hellboy Hell Water is micro-distilled, hand bottled and styled in the old traditional process of making Southern Corn Whiskey.
XXX Distillery will hold a Grand Opening on April 14, 2017, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
