A new international trailer (or “International Super Fun Hero Sneak Peek) for Spider-Man: Homecoming has been released – and you can watch it above!
This latest Spider-Man: Homecoming preview doesn’t show much in the way of new footage – but that’s probably for the better if we’re all being honest with ourselves. Sony is apparently learning a lesson from its mistakes with the Amazing Spider-Man by not showing the entire movie in the last round of trailers and promos. Or maybe this is just another fringe benefit of Marvel Studios’ guiding hand with the project? Either way, a recycled trailer is better than a spoiled movie.

If there is anything uniquely cool about this new trailer, it’s that we get another piece of the Captain America: Civil War tie-in scene, in which we see Spider-Man getting his upgraded Stark tech suit and joining #TeamIronMan from Peter Parker’s perspective this time. It’s a small part of the movie, but a cool feature of the marketing, helping to tie Spider-Man: Homecoming back to the larger Marvel Universe.
SYNOPSIS: A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine โ distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man โ but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
The cast features Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Logan Marshall-Green, and Marisa Tomei. The film is being directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car), based on a screenplay by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley (Vacation reboot) and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7, 2017.
