The Marvel Studios debut for the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will feature a time that few films have yet to truly focus on for more than a handful of scenes — as evidenced by the ‘Homecoming’ slug, Peter Parker will still be stuck in high school when the movie opens up.

We posted a new clip from the film above (watch it now!) that shows Peter and his best friend from school Ned Leeds attending a party with some classmates. Ned knows Peter’s superhero secret and, because the two aren’t exactly cool kids, concocts a plan to get them in with the popular crowd.

It just requires a little participation from Spider-Man to work.

Zendaya’s character Michelle also appears in the clip, eating a piece of toast. Because, of course, that’s what all kids do at parties these days. Darn toast eaters!

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
