One of the most highly-anticipated characters to soon enter the DC Extended Universe is Mera, who will be brought to life by Amber Heard. But before she makes her official DCEU debut, Heard appears to be kicking back, in a new photo from the set of Aquaman.

The Instagram post, which you can see below, shows Heard kicking back on a chair and table, reading a book. The caption of the photo reads “Take 5”, possibly hinting it was taken in between filming, and not just during the day’s pre-production.

If the photo was, in fact, taken in between scenes, it might be providing fans with one of the first looks at Mera’s expanded wardrobe in Aquaman. While Heard has already been seen shooting in her character’s iconic green costume, it stands to reason that she would be wearing other ‘street clothes’ at some point in the film as well.

And with Heard rocking Mera’s bright-red locks in the photo, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that a version of this outfit could be seen onscreen in Aquaman. Fans will just have to wait and see when Aquaman premieres on December 21st, 2018.

Aquaman currently has a 3.85 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipating rankings, while Justice League currently has a 4.17 out of 5. The official description can be found below.

Aquaman stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Ludi Lin, Dolph Lundgren, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Temuera Morrison, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Patrick Cox, Otis Dhanji, and Kaan Guldur.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroesโ€”Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flashโ€”it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill(Superman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Ciarรกn Hinds (Steppenwolf), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon), Amber Heard (Mera), Kiersey Clemons (Iris West) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).

Wonder Woman is in theaters now, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
