The latest season of Gotham ended with close friends (and lovers) turned bitter enemies, with Tabitha Galavan electrocuting Barbara Kean to death. But that rivalry, much like Barbara’s death, are only temporary.
We’ve heard hints about how Barbara will be back from the dead, but actor Camren Bicondova revealed to ComicBook.com that her character Selina Kyle might have a lot to do with mending the relationship between the two. Check out the video from San Diego Comic-Con above!

“Selina has this drive, not for power, but for respect,” Bicondova said. “After her fight with Bruce in the hospital, after she tried to show him that she cared, she realized that he did have a point. Just as he realizes that she had a point that he doesn’t know who he is, she realizes that she’s been surviving her whole life and she hasn’t really worked to be comfortable. And she wants to be comfortable. And she realizes Tabitha is the only person who will help her do that since Barbara’s not around when she goes to look for Barbara.”
Of course, Barbara and Tabitha’s fatal confrontation will only lead to a more interesting dynamic when the show picks up for its third season, though how it affects their relationship remains to be seen.
“In Season Four we find out she’s alive andโฆ stuff happens,” Bicondova teased.
The three characters are said to form a “power trio” in the new season, which is sure to plague the already crime-ridden city. It will be interesting to see how their alliance influences crime in the city moving forward.
Gotham returns to FOX Thursday, September 21.
Season Four of GOTHAM will witness the emergence of the criminal landscape for which Gotham City is best known, with JIM GORDON (Ben McKenzie) and HARVEY BULLOCK (Donal Logue) at the forefront of the fight against the most depraved and unhinged villains. While Gotham City fights for normalcy, a new hero will rise, as BRUCE WAYNE (David Mazouz) begins to assume responsibility for the city’s well-being.
