Black Panther looks like it will have a killer soundtrack, and the new song All the Stars will easily be one of its best tracks.

All the Stars features the first team-up by Kendrick Lamar and SZA and is the lead single from the soundtrack. While Kendrick appears on the song, he is also producing and curating the entire soundtrack alongside Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. If this is what fans can expect from the entire album, then they’re in for a treat (via PitchFork).

The track is a bit more laid back in its production but Lamar’s melodic musings pave the way for SZA on the starry-eyed chorus. Lamar doesn’t disappoint on the lyrical front, and his words could easily fit multiple points in the film.

“F*** you and all your expectations, I don’t even want your congratulations, I recognize your false confidence and calculated promises all in your conversations. I hate people that feel entitled, look at me crazy because I ain’t invite you.”

He ends his verse with another lyric that could easily apply to T’Challa. “Corrupted man’s heart what a gift, that’s how you find out you’re dealing with, a small percentage that I’m building with, I want the credit if I’m winning or I’m losing on my momma that’s the realest s***.”

SZA’s verse doesn’t disappoint either and takes a more positive approach to Lamar’s more jaded words.

Lamar couldn’t be more excited to be working alongside Marvel Studios and director Ryan Coogler on this project.

“Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel’s vision.”

You can listen to the track in the clip above.

Black Panther currently enjoys a 4.16 out of 5 on ComicBook.com’s anticipation rankings, which you can vote in here.
