Archie To End With Issue #666

Archie Comics will end its long running Archie series with this June's Archie #666. The issue will have past Archie creators like Tom DeFalco, Dan Parent, Fernando Ruiz, and Pat & Tim Kennedy reflecting on Archie's long comic book history.

Archie #666 will end a comic book run of over 70 years. The issue will feature six interlocking covers by Parent, showcasing the different incarnations of the Riverdale gang that have appeared in the series' pages over the years. You can see one of the covers above, and early sketches of the other five in the gallery below.

The end of the current Archie makes way for this summer's reboot in a new Archie #1, where writer Mark Waid and artist Fiona Staples will recreate Archie's classic characters for a new generation.

Archie #666 goes on sale June 3.
