Naruto Spin Offs Fans Want to See

Naruto, the infamous loveable ninja in the orange jumpsuit, is one of the most popular characters in anime history. The franchise has been around since 1997 and continues to be relevant today. Both the original anime series Naruto, and the the ongoing sequel to the original Naruto Shippuden, are two of the most watched animes in Japan. With Shippuden set to finally come to a close in 2017, fans are already asking for more.

The creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, already announced a new anime series set for release in spring of 2017, based off of the Boruto manga. Boruto is a spin off of the original manga, and follows the son of Naruto and Hinata. Fans quickly fell in love with Boruto and are excited for the art to come to life with the anime spin off.

Kishimoto isn’t done with Naruto and said there are many anime spin off possibilities. This could mean seeing more about the history behind the original series, learning more about other ninja villages, or brand new characters and adventures. This got us thinking about what some Naruto spin off ideas that we want to see.

So here are 5 Naruto spin offs fans want to see:

Princess Kaguya’s Tale

She was worshiped as the Robbit Goddess, and single- handedly ended the brutal wars. She then gave birth to the Sage of Six Paths and began to lose her trust in humanity and essentially became a psycho mom corrupt with power. She ends up being sealed away by her sons 

But we don’t know much about her, or her history. There could be a whole mini series or movie just about her story. It would be interesting to see how she where she came from, how she became the rabbit goddess, and her descent into madness and chaos.

The Otsutsuki Brothers

Related to the last one, we need more information about Hagoromo and Hamura. The sons of Kaguya and the first two born with chakra and saviors of the known world, sealing away their mother when she became the Ten-Tails. A series following the two’s separate paths could be really cool.

It could follow the rise of Hagoromo as he understand the nature of chakra, and creates ninjutsu. Seeing his first group of followers and teachings as he became what is known as the first true ninja.

On the other side it would show Hamura as he became the founder of the shinobi of the Moon. He went to the moon in order to guard his mother’s remains. But there is little to no information about him, and his strength and power. It would be interesting to see his path and the the difference between him and his brother.

Naruto Chronicles

A series that dives in deeper and gets a more in depth at other characters in the Naruto series. It could show what was happening to the other characters that were not being followed in the original series. This would show different techniques from characters that we did not get to see, and also provide character growth and development for other characters as well. It could show the background of Gaara as he becomes the lethal terrifying weapon seen in Naruto. It could show Kiba and his dog, and what made him the short tempered character seen in battles. It could show Tenten and her arsenal of weapons and great strength within the guy team. The possibilities are endless…

The Warring States

An in depth look into the Warring States period would make for a great movie or mini-series. The warring period was essentially the pinnacle of the ninja world. There would be some amazing giant battle scenes and it would be cool to see the great war that is talked about throughout all of the naruto series. Seeing some of the best ninja of all time battling it out in a great war. 

Itachi & Akatsuki

It could start before the Uchiha clan massacre to show the relationship between the Uchiha clan. Then we would see the struggles of Itachi murdering his entire clan, which after learning more about them and seeing the relationship would make the audience care more about the characters. Then see him join Akatsuki, and see him and the rest of the bounty hunters collecting bounties and fighting against other hunters. This series would have a much darker/adult theme but could an interesting series to watch.
