Digimon fans are you ready for the next installment of the Digimon Adventure Tri film project? Get excited, because the official website revealed a new poster for the upcoming movie. The fifth movie, out of the six in the project, will be opening in Japan this year, Digimon Adventure Tri Part 5: Symbiosis.

The rest of the Digimon Adventure Tri films are currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The site has released each film in four parts. The Digimon Adventure Tri series was created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Digimon Adventure anime series. The original series by Akiyoshi Hongo ran for 54 episodes in 1999-2000 and was an immediate success in the United States. There will be a total of six films in the new movie celebration series and all will be available to stream on Crunchyroll for premium users.
Digimon Adventure Tri Part 4: Loss was the last film from the series release back in February of this year, description of the story can be seen below:
Following Meicoomon’s rampage and the Reboot, Tai (Taichi) and the others leave behind a distressed Meiko and head to the Digital World. But the partner Digimon that they’ve reunited with have lost their memories. They once again try to forge new connections, but only Biyomon is wary, telling her partner Sora that she doesn’t know anything about the past. While Sora normally thinks of others even before herself, she now has distrust in her heart. As Sora stands heartbroken, Tai and Matt (Yamato) cannot find the words to help her.
A tearful Meicoomon appears and disappears again. For some reason, she has retained past memories, and is searching for Meiko. Upon seeing Meicoomon, the kids resolve to journey through the Digital World to save her, but a man with the Dark Masters at his command stands in their way.
Meanwhile, in the real world, Nishijima receives a notice that Himekawa has disappeared. When he investigates, he learns that she has had a hidden goal behind all her actions thus far.
Release date for Digimon Adventure Tri Part 5: Symbiosis has not been officially announced, but will be in 2017. American audience will be getting a dubbed version of the the films, as Shout! Factory has acquired broadcasting and home distribution rights for the first three. The company plans on a dual-language release on Blu-Ray and DVD, yet the date for this is still to be announced.
