Dragon Ball Super has done the impossible; The latest preview for its upcoming anime special has managed to make fans even more hyped for Goku’s showdown with Jiren. As you can see above, the clip shows the rivals going head-to-head at long last, and Goku doesn’t come out on top.

The episode preview was released earlier today by Toei Animation, and fans can’t stop buzzing about the action-packed reel. The clip begins with Goku in his Super Saiyan Blue form fighting Jiren. The pair are engaged in insanely quick hand-to-hand spars, but Goku leaves himself open at the wrong point.
In a moment of distraction, Jiren manages to one-up Goku and drive him into a boulder with a hit to the hero’s stomach. The Saiyan is then seen powering up his Kaio-Ken whilst being SSB, but the technique doesn’t seem to give Goku any overage on Jiren. If anything, the Universe 11 warrior seems nonplussed at the sight.
Oh, and that’s not to mention the look Jiren has when Goku throws a huge Spirit Bomb at him. The Pride Trooper could not look more bored. The fighter does widen his eyes at the assault, but it does not look like Jiren gets taken down by the attack. However, the reel does end with Goku looking taken aback, and things only get more interesting when the Saiyan begins powering up into his new transformation.
No, the clip doesn’t show the full-blown transformation. Fans will have to wait until Saturday to see that happen.
