Ranking The Naruto Squadrons

The legendary ninja with an attitude Naruto Uzumaki, is one of the most well known characters in anime history. I mean who doesn’t love the ramen slurping, back talking, hot headed pipsqueak?

Naruto has seemingly been around forever. It was first introduced to the world 20 years ago through Weekly Shonen Jump. Since then, there has been numerous highly successful manga, anime, spin-offs, movies, and video game projects. But when it comes to the anime success, it all starts with the original Naruto anime series. Looking back now that it has over 700 episodes, it is argued as the best shonen franchise of all time.

The story all begins in Konoha, with Naruto striving to cause trouble and become the ultimate hokage. In ninja academy he is placed in a team, and ends up meeting his lifelong friends and partners. Along the way they meet hundreds of characters and teams with different jutsu and specialities. But which team is the greatest of all? Well, we here at Comicbook have ranked the five best teams in the Naruto series.

#5 Team 10

Team 10 consists of the trip of Ino, Choji, and Shikamru. They are the newest generation of the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, and not only display great teamwork, but also are good friends. They are originally led by Asuma, and follow in the footsteps of their fathers. The three are skilled at slowing down and stalling their opponents, and exacted revenge for their deceased leader. Seeing the trio grow throughout the series and become strong shinobi. 

#4 The Sand Siblings

Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro are a force to be reckoned with. First there is Gaara, who is one of the creepiest characters with his crazy sand abilities and dead eyes. Second on the team is Temari, the eldest sibling of the three. She uses her giant iron fan, and her wind abilities to be a proficient fighter from long range. Oh she can also summon Kamatari, a one eyed sickle welding weasel which is pretty freaking awesome. Last but not least is Kankuro, the pippet master. He used his ability to modify and control puppets to use them to battle and gain advantage. The siblings have a true bond, as no one is able to take care of the young monster Gaara, except for his siblings. 

#3 Ame Orphans

The group of children that lost their parents in the second Shinobi World War: Negato, Konan & Yahiko. The three were brought together and trained by Jiraiya, and then left to fend for themselves. Together they were the original Akatsuki, the group of outcast ninjas that existed outside of the normal hidden villages. This team brought fear into the hearts and minds of many as they searched for revenge, and to establish peace by any means possible. 

#2 The Legendary Sannin

Trained under the the Third Hokage Himself, the trio is one of the most legendary teams of all time. The trio of Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya are known for their skills and abilities displayed in the Second Shinobi War. Their individual abilities were all amazing, but when they came together their abilities were unbelievable. The team parted ways due to Orochimaru using banned arts and going rogue, Jiraiya’s research, and Tsunade’s gambling addiction, but their squad is considered legendary across the ninja world. 

#1 Team 7

Is it any surprise this is the best team in the series? Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, formed under the leadership of Kakashi, are the best team of all time. Sakura brings the brains, Sasuke brings the ninjutsu, and Naruto brings the passion. We got to see the team grow together and rise through the ranks from training and D-rank missions, split up, and then reunite and battle against Kaguya. Even though they might not have a stable friendships, they display amazing teamwork and heart, and are always there to save the day. Oh and I forgot to mention that Kakashi was one of the coolest and best leaders of all time.
