Christopher Nolan Screens Dark Knight Rises

We haven't heard much news about The Dark Knight Rises lately, but now we know the answer why. Apparently, director Christopher Nolan has been hard at work editing The Dark Knight Rises so he could finish a rough cut of the movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan has just screened the very first cut of The Dark Knight Rises for Warner Bros. executives. The screening is rumored to have taken place on Friday, March 16 and to have included Warner Bros. Pictures Group President Jeff Robinow and Warner Bros. Production President Greg Silverman. With The Dark Knight Rises release date not scheduled until July 20, 2012, this early screening would allow plenty of time for Christopher Nolan to make any tweeks or changes based on feedback from the executives. Unfortunately, there was no information on what the reaction was to the first cut. Since most in attendance appear to have been high level Warner Bros. executives, it's unlikely they will be taking to Twitter to reveal spoilers. While unconfirmed, some of the stars from the film might have been in attendance. In particular, Christian Bale was rumored to have also been spotted at the screening.
