The Avengers aliens are revealed. The Avengers mystery villain is revealed. There is only one major Avengers secret left. No, we're not talking about Stan Lee's cameo. Perhaps realizing that all the Avengers spoilers would leak out due to the early screenings, Marvel Studios came up with a last minute idea to keep fans guessing. According to Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo, the Avengers cast was assembled to shoot one more scene the day after the world premiere. All the online speculation has quickly shifted from who are the aliens to what was the last minute bonus scene. We've compiled a list of five theories. Some of which have been circulating online and others that just popped into our minds.

Ant-Man TheoryAnt-Man Theory

– The great Ant-Man theory is perhaps the most popular theory circulating online. There are a number of hints that support this theory. Edgar Wright is the director tied to an Ant-Man movie from Marvel Studios, and he just tweeted last week, "Was just back behind the camera for the first time in nearly two years. Can't say on what, but it was cool..." Could he have been doing some advance shooting to get ready for the Avengers mystery scene? Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige has been talking a lot recently about the Ant-Man movie. Feige also denied that Wright's tweet was related to Marvel Studios, but Feige also denied that a mystery scene was even being filmed.

Spider-Man TheorySpider-Man Theory

– It's the rumor that just won't die. Even though Sony controls the movie rights to Spider-Man, fans are dying to see everyone's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man meet The Avengers. Kevin Feige recently praised the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man movie as excellent, which means he's been keeping in touch with Sony. Of course, Sony has been having some difficulties of late, so they really need the Spider-Man reboot to be a hit. Could Sony have worked a deal with Marvel Studios to include a last minute Spider-Man cameo to hype the Amazing Spider-Man?

Ben Kingsley TheoryBen Kingsley Theory

– News recently broke that Marvel Studios was negotiating to cast Ben Kingsley as a villain in Iron Man 3. Marvel Studios loves to tie their films together, and Iron Man 3 is their next big release after the Avengers. It would make sense to include a bonus scene to lead into Iron Man 3, and if Kingsley was just signed, then it would also makes sense that they had to wait until now.

Death TheoryDeath Theory

– While most of the Avengers bonus scene speculation revolved around an after the credits scene, Robert Downey Jr and Mark Ruffalo raised the possibility that the scene could be inserted somewhere else in the movie. While we think it's unlikely, Joss Whedon could actually pull off a major shocker by making a major alteration to the movie. Could the bonus scene involve a major character's death?

Comedy TheoryComedy Theory

– Blame this one on Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. When asked about the bonus theory, Hemsworth and Evans joked that it showed the Avengers cleaning up New York City. While it's unlikely that cleaning up will be the actual scene, it could be very possible that the scene is of a lighthearted nature. Maybe, the bonus scene doesn't involve anything major like the introduction of or death of a character, but instead it's some sort of joke scene design to get one last chuckle from the audience.
