DC Comics has released its first preview of interior art for James Robinson and Nicola Scott’s much-anticipated upcoming series, Earth 2. Featuring a semi-splash page that sees Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman standing in the Batcave and watching Apokolips invade their world on the monitors, the page focuses mostly on the parademons and doesn’t dedicate much attention yet to the new looks of DC’s trinity.”Earth 2 is a big step in a new direction for me,” said the artist at DC’s blog. “I haven’t previously had many opportunities to work on a truly epic scale but working with James [Robinson], on some of his favorite characters and in our own alternate Earth Two world, is providing me with that platform. Everything is up for grabs, nothing is for certain and it will slowly reveal itself over the coming months. James is creating a great balance between action and drama and I have the great pleasure of bringing it to life.”Earth 2 #1 will be released on May 2, 2012, marking the second time in six years that DC has had a major story revolving around its multiverse fall on May 2 (the first time being 52 #52, for which a 5/2 release date was part of the story’s promotion).
