MTV Movie Award Dark Knight Rises Clip

Tonight was a big night for comic book movie fans. MTV premiered their much anticipated exclusive Dark Knight Rises preview footage surrounded by a little show called the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. The Dark Knight Rises clip will reportedly not be made available online by MTV, so Comicbook.com has recapped what happened in the clip. The clip was introduced by the film's writer/director Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman. After some footage from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises clip started off with John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) talking to Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway). John Blake says, "You've made some mistakes Mrs. Klye." Selina Kyle replies "Girls got to eat."   John Blake says, "And you have an appetite. Why would you run? You can't hide from us with a record like this." Selina Kyle replies, "Maybe it's not you I'm running from."

After the segment with John Blake and Selina Kyle, there are several scenes showing underground tunnels. Bane is walking around in the tunnels, and Catwoman is shown in the tunnels. Catwoman says, "Don't be shy."

The tunnel scene is followed by explosions and an attack on Wall Street. Bane announces, "Let the games begin." Bridges are shown exploding and collapsing. Various shots of Batman and his vehicles. Batman and Bane exchange punches. A Gotham City police officer tells another officer, "Boy, you are in for a show tonight son." Footage from previous trailers shows Bane's attack on a plane and the Tumbler catching fire.

The footage ends with John Blake asking Selina Kyle, "What do you know about him?". Selina Kyle replies, "That you should be as afraid of him as I am." This exchange is followed by a shot of both Batman and Bane. The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 20, 2012.
