Amazing Spider-Man 2: Jamie Foxx Confirms Electro Role Is In The Works

It was widely reported recently that Jamie Foxx was in early negotiations to play Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Foxx himself even hinted as much on Twitter. Director Marc Webb also played it coy, talking about how electrifying Jamie Foxx was, but never confirming the rumor. However, Access Hollywood has now gotten official confirmation from Jamie Foxx. When asked if he was playing Electro in Amazing Spider-Man 2, Foxx said, "Yeah, that's in the works. I have a little daughter, four years old. And what's crazy like, this past year she had a birthday where Spider-Man was the theme. So now, well fingers crossed that it all works out. I haven't sprung it on her yet, but she will go crazy." The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 2, 2014.
