Twin Peaks Rumors Get NBC Thinking Good Idea

The Internet is increasingly becoming a place where Hollywood turns for new ideas. There was that TV show based on a Twitter feed, and now false rumors are inspiring TV executives. A couple weeks ago rumors surfaced that Twin Peaks might be returning to network television. An anonymous source claimed to be in a meeting between David Lynch and NBC executives. Mark Frost even hinted to SciFi Now magazine that there was talk of bringing the show back. However, soon after the rumors surfaced, Mark Frost tweeted, "Dear Internet: You are very good at spreading rumors. Truth is more valuable and much harder to come by. Sincerely yours, @mfrost11". While Mark Frost's tweet cast doubt on the Twin Peak rumors, it stopped short of out and out denying them. However, according to IGN, NBC President Jennifer Salke did deny the Twin Peaks rumors at the Television Critics Association meeting today. Now, here's were it gets interesting. After saying that none of them had gotten a call about the show, she added, "When it came up we all looked at each other and said, 'That's a good idea.' We were all kind of like, 'Hmm, we like Twin Peaks!' So, I'll send some emails today, and see what I can get to come in." It certainly sounds like the Twin Peaks rumors could actually result in the possibility of the show returning.
