Batmobile Sells For $4.62 Million

The original Batmobile from the sixties Batman TV show has sold at auction for an amazing $4.62 million. The Batmobile was created and owned by George Barris, before it was put up for auction at a Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona. The actual winning bid amount was $4.2 million, which is what some sites are reporting. However, Barrett-Jackson is listing the auction price at $4.62 million, because that is what the winning bidder will actually pay after additional auction fees. The winning bidder was Rick Champagne, who owns a logistics company and is a car collector.
