Warner Bros. signed Will Beall, the writer of Gangster Squad and the apparently-stalled Justice League film, to a two-picture blind deal. The contract is a blanket that will cover whatever he wants to write, and is being seen as a gesture of faith to the writer, whose Justice League draft was reportedly a disaster. Variety, who reported on the deal, said that it’s unclear whether they’ll attempt to use that script when and if Justice League gets made.Beall was reportedly on the shortlist of writers Universal’s The Legend of Conan, which will bring Arnold Schwarzenegger back to the role that made him famous. Whether that possibility is dead or not in light of the Warner deal is unclear.
