Lex Luthor Man Of Steel

Earlier this month, Comicbook.com reported on a rumor that Lex Luthor might be referenced in the Man of Steel movie. According to a post on a message board from a source claiming to have seen an early screening of the Man of Steel movie, Lex Luthor isn't shown in the movie but he's referenced in the movie as working on a new AI that will "revolutionize technology unlike anything Metropolis has ever seen." Like anything from an anonymous source on a message board, we took the Lex Luthor rumors with a grain of salt, but a recent statement by Man of Steel writer David S. Goyer has us thinking there could be something to it. An interviewer with I Am Rogue asked David S. Goyer if he could talk about his decision to not include Lex Luthor in Man of Steel. While one might have expected David S. Goyer to give an answer like Lex Luthor's been used in so many past Superman movies that he wanted to go in a different direction, he actually gave a completely different and very surprising answer. David S. Goyer said, "I don't think anyone has ever confirmed that we haven't included him." Wow, talk about dropping a bombshell. While this isn't exactly confirmation that Lex Luthor is in Man of Steel, Goyer's answer certainly hints that Lex Luthor might be included or referenced in some way.
