The Avengers Wins Best Fight At MTV Movie Awards

Star Trek Into Darkness cast members Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana appeared as the presenters of the MTV Movie Award for Best Fight. Chris, Zach, and Zoe appeared in the center of a recreation of the first Star Trek Into Darkness poster. After announcing the nominees, Zoe Saldana announced that the winner of Best Fight was Marvel's The Avengers. Joss Whedon, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Evans accepted the award on behalf of The Avengers cast. Samuel L. Jackson said, "Thank all of you. Thank all the fans in the world. Everybody needs to thank this guy, he's responsible, Joss Whedon, creator, writer, director, our fearless leader." Tom Hiddleston added, "I just want to say 'I'm happy to be Hulk-smashed any day of the week.'" Joss Whedon said, "Thank you guys this was very unexpected."
