One of the most anticipated events for the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con will be the Marvel Studios panel. While Marvel Studios has not even officially confirmed that they will be at Comic-Con this year, all sorts of rumors have already starting circulating as to what their presentation might feature. With Thor The Dark World scheduled to debut on November 8, 2013, it's a pretty safe bet to predict that the film will have a major presence at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con. We would expect that both star Chris Hemsworth as well as director Alan Taylor would be part of a Thor The Dark World panel segment. Beyond Thor The Dark World, it's a mystery what Marvel Studios might present, and what they might choose to save to announce at Disney's D23 Expo in August. However, actress Hayley Atwell seems to have spilled the details on at least one part of the panel (which also likely confirms that Marvel Studios will indeed be participating in Comic-Con). In an interview with The Age, Hayley Atwell confirms that her character Peggy Carter will indeed play a role in Captain America The Winter Solider. Because of Marvel Studios well-known secrecy, Atwell couldn't provide any details beyond the fact that she will be in the movie. However, Atwell did reveal for some plans for her character and Comic-Con. Atwell said, "There's been an online campaign for Peggy to be featured. People really liked her. So Marvel have made sure that as part of Comicon there will be a little kind of snapshot as to what Peggy's actually really capable of, which was finished here and which was great fun. Hopefully, it will lead to other things." Last year at Comic-Con, Marvel Studios premiered a short film called Item 47, so based on Atwell's comments it certainly sounds like there will be a short film involving Peggy Carter at Comic-Con. It would also make sense from the perspective of that after Thor The Dark World, Captain America The Winter Soldier will be Marvel's next big movie, so it would likely be a film they would also want to promote at 2013 San Diego Comic-Con.
